Before you apply
- Use the free NSW Planning Portal Spatial Viewer to:
- check if the land is Crown land
- obtain the Lot/DP
- check the land is not currently licensed or leased
- obtain zoning category
- check if Crown reserve purpose is for public recreation, future public benefit or significant environmental value.
- Prepare the supporting documents for your online enquiry form. There is a total upload file size limit of 30 MB. If the supporting documentation is larger than 30 MB, you will need to provide a direct download link from a cloud service such as DropBox or OneDrive.

Supporting documentation
- A site plan, diagram or survey showing the location of your enquiry is mandatory.
- Evidence of authority to act on behalf of the enquirer where applicable.
- A recent company search where the enquirer is a Company with an ABN/ACN which lists company officeholders (directors and secretaries).
- A certificate of Incorporation (from NSW Fair Trading) where the enquirer is an incorporated association, including minutes showing elected office bearers.
- Any other documentation in support of your enquiry.
